Two Hughie B.'s were built. The front example was highly modified by a good friend. The rear example was built straight from the plans, with the only modification being the lifeboat on the fantail.

Hughied B. is an all wood model of a typical  Maryland Work Boat. The hull is framed in balsa and light ply, and planked in balsa to keep the build as simple as possible. The deck and cabin are balsa substructures, planked in bass wood.

          Power is provided by a single direct drive 7.2V S-400 motor and a 6 cell NiCD battery
