Wing Washout Jig
The Wing Washout Jig was developed to help simplify the rigging process while building our Kits and Short kits. The idea behind the Jig is to hold the dihedral and washout rigid while setting up the struts on Monoplanes and rigging on Biplanes. The Jig can also be used to set the washout on high wing and low wing models without struts as well.
The Jig is built from 1/4 plywood and spruce with the outer stanchions adjustable to accommodate any dihedral angle, and can be used on both straight and swept wing models. The first time you use the Dihedral Jig you'll definitely wonder how you got by for so long without it. As designed, the Jig is set up for use on flat bottom airfoils, but adapters can easily be made to accommodate just about any airfoil.
The Washout Jig plans include all the full size patterns needed to cut the parts, with assembly drawings to build the 4 stanchions once the parts are cut.
